Kithane

In the years after Adam’s death many of the gods became restless. Humanity, the first union of divine entities was doomed to the darkness of Fate. It became evident that Fate had not entirely mastered death, some element of Chaos still lingered. If the children of life were not mortal could the gods themselves suffer death’s sting?

The gods as a whole seemed consumed by this crisis. Fate left heaven to tend to his son. Isabella consumed with sorrow wept three hundred days. Source the reigning queen of the gods spread herself thin to the point of breaking in an attempt to handle mans predicament.  While Ayro flew wildly about heaven all the while murmuring in a, seldom heard, hushed voice, "Not again". Khaine saw an opportunity, and Khaine is not one to resist a desire.

Humanity was blessed because Isabella was their mother yet doomed to mortality because of their father Fate. If Khaine where the father humanity would miss the curse of Fate. Khaine would be hero to all the gods. For he would succeed where Source and the others failed. Khaine would replace source as ruler of heaven. When Isabella’s crying ceased Khaine knew the time was nigh. With Fate in the underworld, Source spread thin, and Isabella emotionally drained no one was left to halt his plan.
The god of desire moved in every so carefully, slowly and methodically working his way into Isabella’s heart. He started as a friend and slowly worked to romanticize their relationship but Isabella’s love for Fate was too strong to be broken. She would have no part of Khaine. She claimed she would wait an eternity to rejoin Fate. Her place was looking over the living, while Fate sought the dead.

While Khaine never relinquished his desire for Isabella or his lust for power the mysterious master has altered his plan and approach over time. Since the mother would have none of him he satisfied himself with her daughters. It is their offspring that are known simply as the children of Khaine.

The children of Khaine are often viewed with distrust for they are incredibly self interested individuals. They are a people known for following their passions. Children of Khaine are very driven and so they are often seen at high positions.

Kithane follow thier desires and live with passion. Their lifspan is generally around 100 years.

Advantages
Hidden goals- Kithaine are immune to skills that discern the truth such as interrogate and detect lie.
Pleasure From Pain: 4 Energy. Kithaine are exceptionally talented in the art of ignoring pain. Kithaine are capable of altering the harmful attempts of others into a moderately desirable sensation.  Character with this skill may spend the appropriate amount of energy to ignore the effects of pain.

Purchasable
Detect Lie: 3 build 4 energy. Touch range. Kithaine with this skill may tell when others are lying. Kithaine with this skill may touch their target then call Detect Lie then spend the appropriate amount of energy to tell if the last statement was true or not to the best of the targets knowledge.
Charm: 3 build 6 energy. Kithaine with this skill is able to befriend others even in the most tense of situations. Kithaine with this skill may call Charm then spend the appropriate amount of energy to throw a skill packet causing target to become non-aggressive towards them for one minute. Charm is forfeit if the skill user attacks charmed character in any way.  This skill does not cause the target to become friendly to anyone else other than the caster. This is a mental effect.

Detriments
Khaine’s Stigma: Characters with this skill gain no additional point of damage for wielding a weapon in two hands. This includes bows, but does not include crossbows.
Fiercely Independent: Kithaine are a people driven by strong desires. When those desires are altered by the will of another it affects them physically as well as mentally. Kithaine targeted by mental effects such as fear and charm take one point of body as well as the mental effect. Truth discerning skills have no effect physically or mentally.
